Texas AG Wins Big Censorship Case Against Biden

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has made a living off making Biden’s life miserable since he took office.

Paxton was among several parties that are suing the administration for its role in censoring, de-platforming, and demonetizing conservative media and personalities on a variety of fronts.

The Biden administration was hoping to have the case dismissed, but Paxton and company just managed to overcome the first hurdle.

You Lose

The motion by the Biden administration to have the case dismissed or moved to a new venue failed.

The court ruled that the plaintiffs have more than proved they have a case and that the venue should be in Texas, not DC, where Biden hoped to have the case moved.

Paxton, The Daily Wire, and The Federalist can now see their case move forward regarding the alleged violation of their First Amendment rights.

Paxton took a quick victory lap after the government’s motion to dismiss and motion to change venue were defeated.

His office stated, “The Biden Administration made a reprehensible attempt to censor the American press with funding intended to monitor foreign propaganda, aiming to repress viewpoints the federal government disagreed with.

“Abusing taxpayer money, Biden repurposed a government agency into a censorship apparatus. It must stop, and I am proud to lead the Nation’s fight to save the First Amendment.”

This is far from a final victory, but it is good news for the plaintiffs that the court sees merit in the case and that the case will continue to be tried in Texas, where Biden is less likely to find allies.

This ruling keeps the entire process located in Texas, so I don’t see much hope for the government during the appeals process either.

And trust me, if the government loses this case, the floodgates are going to open for lawsuits for lost revenue from conservative influencers and media outlets for having a boot on their throat for much of the last four years.
