Over the last few weeks, all we have been hearing about is how corrupt Justice Clarence Thomas is because of trips he took with a very rich friend and GOP megadonor.
My suggestion to the GOP was to start digging because we know that liberal justices were doing the same thing.
It would appear that Senator Cruz (R-TX) took my advice because he just dropped a bombshell on the left side of the court.
They All Do It
If you think Thomas is the only one cashing in, you are out of your mind. And, just for the record, I am not defending him with the “everyone else is doing it” defense, but I am making a point that Thomas is not alone here.
Between 2004 and 2018, Supreme Court justices took more than 1,300 trips that were paid for by someone else. More than 16 percent of those trips were paid for by a Democrat donor family… and they were all taken by former Justice Stephen Breyer, reports the Daily Caller.
In 2018, Breyer took three tips that were paid for by the Pritzker family. Yes, the same family as the man currently serving as the governor of Illinois.
Cruz stated, “In 2019, [Justice Breyer] traveled to New York City, to Vancouver and Paris.
“In 2018, Justice Breyer traveled to Ireland and Spain. In 2016, he traveled to New York, Spain and France. In 2013, he traveled to Norway, Sweden and Denmark. In 2012, he traveled to Beijing and to London — all of this paid for by the Pritzker Foundation.
“I’m not suggesting that he is corrupt. What I am suggesting is this committee is corrupt.”
How About RGB? Ginsburg took 14 trips in 2018, one of which was paid form by billionaire Israeli businessman Morris Kahn. Did anyone suggest that was a payoff for business that Kahn had before the court in 2017?
Senator Graham (R-S.C.) brought up some great points regarding Justice Ginsburg…
Amanda Frost says that without an independent ethics board, the Supreme Court is accountable to no one.
She’s wrong.
The Constitution creates a check on the Supreme Court: impeachment.
But it doesn’t allow a check beyond actual impeachable conduct.

Do you know what MSN’s headline was that covered Graham’s comments on this? Here, I will help… “Desperate Lindsey Graham invokes Ruth Bader Ginsburg as he struggles to defend Clarence Thomas at hearing.”
This is how our political system works these days, though.
The left does what it wants and nobody asks a question. The right does something, and all hell breaks loose even if it was identical in nature.
Let me say what I have said 100 times before… the system is broken… badly.
