Ted Cruz Hit with Can at Houston Astros Parade

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is a big sports fan.

He generally roots for Houston-based teams, so it was no surprise to see him work his way into the World Series victory parade.

The fans did not appear to appreciate his presence, with Cruz taking a beer can off his head during the parade.

Arrest Made

Houston is liberal territory, so it was not surprising to hear the boos when Cruz passed by.

The beer can flying at his head, however, was a bit of a surprise…

Joseph Halm Arcidiacono, 33, was eventually identified as the alleged can thrower.

He has been charged with a felony.

Cruz took the attack in stride accusing Arcidiacono of having a "noodle arm."

Shockingly, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) defended Cruz, stating, "Don't throw beer or commit violence against someone you politically disagree with.

"We are a country of voting not violence."
