Ted Cruz Calls McConnell ‘One-Man Dictator’ of Senate

Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz is angry, and he has every right to be.

I have reported prior about living in Texas and barely seeing any political ads for Cruz over the last month.

Cruz just explained why, and honestly, he has more than just Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to be upset at.

No Support

For much of this election cycle, Cruz has been in a very tight race with Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX).

The race was a toss-up at one point, but nobody from the RNC or from McConnell’s leadership PAC was stepping in to help Cruz.

Up until about two weeks ago, Cruz was barely dropping ads so he could save his money for the stretch run, so all we were seeing were Allred ads, and the polling reflected that.

Down the stretch, Governor Abbott started to help out, and then Cruz started his ad buys. He now has a cushion that should see him win this election, but he is not happy about the lack of support from McConnell.

Cruz stated, "He’s basically behaved as a one-man dictator. I don’t think we want a leader who does that.

"I think when we win in November, and I believe we’re going to see a really good election, I think Trump’s going to win. I think we’re going to win a Republican Senate and Republican House.

“When that happens, we’ve got enormous work to do when that happens."

Cruz has received very little help from anyone, to be honest. Trump has not really campaigned for him and we have seen very little from the RNC on this front, which has mostly been devoting its resources to Trump.

Yes, we need to win the White House, but unless the GOP keeps the House and wins back the Senate, the White House means nothing.

Just remember this if Dems take back the House because there are going to be some serious leadership questions that will have to be resolved in this upcoming term.
