Taylor Swift’s Father Accused of Assaulting Photographer During Australian Leg of Eras Tour

Taylor Swift and her entourage have found themselves in the headlines, and not for a good reason.

According to reports, her father got a little handsy with photographers when they approached his daughter.

Scott Swift, whom Swifties refer to as Papa Swift, has been accused of punching a man in the face, while Taylor’s camp says it was the photographers who were doing the threatening.

Protective Papa Swift

The Swift entourage had traveled from Homebush on a yacht.

When Papa Swift and Taylor were walking up the wharf, the paparazzi were all over the place.

There is video, but it is blacked out by umbrellas and then just gives a street view after possibly being knocked out of someone’s hand.

After that happened, you can hear people talking, but it is very hard to distinguish between people and what is being said.

After having allegations made, the Swift camp finally decided to address the issue, saying the photographers were being very “aggressive” with her.

Taylor’s spokesperson stated, 'Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”

Ben McDonald, the chief executive of Matrix Media Group, is not buying that.

He responded, “This is the sort of bulls**t I might expect.

“Which female was that? The only one there was Taylor.”

From the limited video and pictures that were available, I did not see any other females, but that does not mean they were not ahead of Swift and not in the picture, so that issue still needs to be sorted out.

My expectation here is that the photographer will be filing suit, and Swift will probably write him a fat check to make it all go away.

All I know is they are lucky that her new boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce, was not there instead of her father.

Swift just wrapped up that leg of her tour, and she is now off until March 2 when she opens in Singapore.
