Taylor Swift's ex Joe Alwyn breaks silence on couple's breakup

World-famous pop star Taylor Swift dated a British actor named Joe Alywn for over six years.

Their breakup left fans of the couple in shock and since the two parted ways, Joe had yet to speak -- until now.

Alwyn’s silence around his relationship was unsurprising to those who knew him. He has always preferred his privacy.

However, it seems he has come out of the shadows to let his thoughts on this breakup from the legendary star be known.

During a recent interview with The Sunday Times style section, Alwyn described his time with Swift as “long, loving” and “fully committed.”

“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,” Alwyn said in the interview.

This statement has without a doubt left countless fans of Swift enraged considering the fact that fans have long since speculated that Alwyn was guilty of cheating on the pop phenom.

Further, it seems Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, was a slam at Alywn over a group chat between him and his friends called “The Tortured Man Club.”

An anonymous source told DailyMail.com, “It's undeniable that the name of her upcoming album is in reference to Joe's WhatsApp group chat.”

The outlet's exclusive source also said, “Taylor knocked him for the name of this when they were together. She didn't want people to think that it had anything to do with her, so when he spoke out about it, she was, of course, bothered.”

Will the world ever REALLY know what happened between Alywn and Swift?

Probably not.

However, if there’s anything we DO know, it's that there are always two sides to the story.
