Swift Keeps Boyfriend Travis Kelce Out of Top Billboard Position

Well, it is that time of year again when unlikely singers are putting out Christmas songs, one of them being the powerhouse duet of Jason and Travis Kelce.

Jason is a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, and Travis is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. The latter also happens to be the latest heartthrob for Taylor Swift.

The Kelce brothers put out their own Christmas song and believe it or not, it went right to the top of the charts.

The Kelce boys decided to do their version of Shane MacGowan’s “Fairytale of New York.”

MacGowan, the lead singer of The Pogues, recently passed away, so I guess this was their tribute to him.

“Fairytale of Philadelphia” was an immediate hit, rising to #2 for the deluxe edition on the Billboard Vinyl Charts, and #3 for the 2023 edition.

Who was it that kept them from the number one spot on the chart? Well, that would be Kelce’s new girlfriend, Taylor Swift, whose “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” sat in the number one spot for the sixth consecutive week.

This weekend, Taylor was once again in the stands to watch her beau play. The Chiefs got off to a rough start, but wound up dominating the game, with Taylor getting just as much TV time as Travis.

Taylor’s The Eras Tour has wrapped up for 2023, so she will likely be in the stands for the rest of the season to watch Kelce try to make it back to the Super Bowl to try for his third championship.

Right now, the AFC is wide open, as the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, and Dolphins have all stumbled and lost games they should have easily won.

While the 49ers have also had a few hiccups, they appear to be the team to beat as we head into the final stretch of the season.
