Perry Johnson Suspends Presidential Campaign

The man who nobody realized was still in the presidential campaign has ended his quest to become president.

Self-funder Perry Johnson officially called it quits on Friday.

Johnson has flushed millions of dollars into his campaign, all for nothing, as he never even made the qualifiers for the first debate.

Waste of Time and Money

Johnson took no time in calling out the “corruption” of the RNC after failing to qualify for any of the debates.

He thought he would make the first debate, but the RNC ruled that the qualifying polls to which he referred were ineligible for consideration.

Johnson stated, “I must admit, the corruption among leaders at the RNC during this process was appalling.

“Not only was the debate process set up to keep outsiders off the stage and without a voice, but when we did meet their arbitrary metrics, corrupt leaders used their authoritarian power to kick me off the stage at 11 p.m. the Monday before the debate, despite our team working with Fox News all weekend on logistics.

“With no opportunity to share my vision on the debate stage, I have decided at this time, suspending my campaign is the right thing to do.”

Johnson was never even a blip on the radar in terms of support, so this campaign was destined to fail from the outset. Most people had never heard of the man, and this was a pretty formidable field from the start.

Johnson, who is 75, did not offer anything other than gimmicks for supporters. The last thing we needed was another fossil in the race, and even his $10 gift card for a $1 donation to help him meet the minimum donor’s standard did not work.

Regarding the other candidates, I was expecting this race to tighten up with a DeSantis-Haley alliance, but those two have started to brawl, with Haley surging to third place and breathing right down DeSantis’ neck.

If an alliance is not formed where one of them takes the lead and the second agrees to be VP, their feud will hand this nomination to Donald Trump, who is currently leading the field several times over.
