Chicago is a city that is spiraling out of control.
Yet, amid this mess, Lori Lightfoot just put herself in for a pay raise.
Give Me a Raise
Let me throw a few numbers at you.
Violence crime in Chicago is up 37 percent from 2021.
Motor vehicle thefts are up 74 percent from 2021.
There are literally dozens of shootings every weekend.
Yet, the $209,915 salary that Lightfoot makes is not enough.
She just proposed legislation that would give her an annual inflation raise, which she was nice enough to cap at five percent.
She would also have the opportunity to decline the raise if she deemed so...

Oh, did we mention that Chicago just lost one of its biggest businesses to Arkansas?
Tyson Foods announced earlier this year that it will be pulling its HQ from Chicago.
McDonald’s CEO also recently hammered the city for the homelessness and violent crimes it is seeing in its residents.
For those of you that don’t know, McDonald’s is also headquartered in Chicago.
