Supreme Court Rejects Avenatti Appeal

At one point, attorney Micheal Avenatti was the toast of the town and even talking about making a presidential run.

He was on every nightly mainstream media newscast for months, but he eventually outed himself as a thief and a conman.

To that point, Avenatti had appealed the ruling in his Stormy Daniels book case, taking it all the way to the Supreme Court, which was just rejected.

Sorry, But No

Avenatti’s appeals were heard without Justice Kavanaugh, who had recused himself from the case for an unknown reason.

Avenatti had already appealed the lower court ruling, finding him guilty of fraud and identity theft.

He took his first appeal to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, and lost again.

With the Supreme Court rejecting his appeal, that decision will stand.

In all honesty, his appeal never had a chance in the high court.

When he had his appeal in the 2nd Circuit Court, the court stated there was overwhelming evidence against him, and the previous verdict would stand.

When Avenatti took the case to the Supreme Court, the court did not even ask for a response from the Department of Justice, which is never a good sign.

As it turns out, that sign was correct, with the court almost immediately rejecting his motion.

Avenatti represented adult film star Stormy Daniels in her hush-money case against Donald Trump.

Daniels was paid $130,000 to stay silent after Trump entered the 2016 race, but she ended up breaking the NDA and telling her story to the world.

Avenatti also represented Daniels in her book deal, reportedly stealing most of the proceeds from her.

Avenatti was later charged for having stolen from several other clients as well and is now currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island.

Avenatti is serving a total of 19 years. He was sentenced to four years in the Stormy Daniels case, five years for extorting Nike, and 14 years for various charges for his other clients.
