Supreme Court Experiencing Perhaps Most Wild Time In Court's History

America's Supreme Court is dealing with some of the most controversial and impactful cases that the nation's highest court has ever seen.

Every fight currently seems like a battle for life and death.

There are countless trials heading to the Supreme Court and all of them could be really big ones.

Not only that, there has been increased scrutiny on all of the justices of the Supreme Court.

Clarence Thomas has been being pressured to resign because of ethics concerns and Sonia Sotomayor is being pressured to resign because liberals are pretty sure she's not going to make it another four years if Trump wins in 2024.

You know this is one of the wildest times in the history of the Supreme Court because people from her own party are demanding that Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor needs to step down.

CNN host Jake Tapper recently brought up the argument of CNN cohost Mehdi Hasan who believes that Justice Sonia Sotomayor needs to retire now so that Biden could nominate another liberal before his term is over.

"With Joe Biden trailing Trump in several swing states and Democrats also in danger of losing their razor-thin majority in the Senate, are we really prepared for history to repeat itself? Sotomayor will turn 70 in June," Hasan had said.

"I have PTSD from 2020, I think the Democrats didn‘t learn lessons. Look, what are we talking about, abortion rights. How did that happen? Dobbs [v. Jackson Women's Health Organization], how did the Florida decision happen today? [Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis appointed five of the seven judges. Republicans are very good at stacking courts and getting their people on courts and thinking strategically about filling courts. Democrats aren't very good at seeing the power of the Supreme Court."

"And that’s why I worry. I worry that, why would you want to repeat history? Why take the risk? You have a Democratic president and a Democratic Senate, and you have a justice who is about to turn 70," Hasan concluded.

That's not the only place controversy is happening on the Supreme Court lately.

Donald Trump has recently been arguing that Judge Juan Merchan should be recused from Trump's hush money case. That's because Merchan's daughter, Loren, works at a Democratic political consulting firm.

Depending on how hard Trump presses this issue, it could even impact America's Supreme Court.

Because, says Pace University law professor and former New York prosecutor Bennett Gershmman, "If one looked closely at the background of any judge in America, at his or her family and their acquaintances, and his or her affiliations, then every Justice on the US Supreme Court, and probably every sitting judge in America, would have to be disqualified from sitting."

Could Trump's judge be removed from the case?

Could any members of the Supreme Court be on their way out?

It's a wild time for the courts in America, particularly the Supreme Court.
