Supreme Court approval rises above 50%

When Donald Trump was first in office, Democrats tried to villainize the Supreme Court.

Then, even though Biden won a considerable number of cases before the court during his term, every time they lost a case, they took the same tactic.

However, it appears that the American people are starting to realize that these attacks were unfair, as the Court is above 50%, giving it its highest approval rating in years.

Getting the Message

For a bit, the Supreme Court appeared to have lost the trust of the American people, and both sides are at fault for this, but it was more the Democrat side of the aisle than the right.

When Republicans would lose rulings, they would pout, but they also said they would respect the ruling.

When the Dems lost a ruling, it was a full-fledged assault against the court, such as Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) holding a presser on the steps of the courthouse, threatening our conservative Supreme Court justices.

In the latest Marquette Law School national poll, the Court’s approval rating went up by three points, giving the Court a 51% approval rating.

This is the highest approval rating the Court has seen since March 2022.

The rather staggering number for me, however, was that 17% of those surveyed believe the president is able to ignore Supreme Court rulings, which is simply not true.

But I understand why some would believe that based on Joe Biden’s ignoring the Court’s ruling on student debt, circumventing the Court’s ruling to give debt relief during his term.

I still believe that should have been challenged more by Republicans.

As I have said in the past, the GOP needs to find people with backbones in leadership, or Democrats will continue to run roughshod over the Constitution.
