What happens when the people that are supposed to enforce the laws abuse the law?
Well, you subpoena them and bring them to justice.
That is what House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is doing with the FBI and the Department of Justice, reported the New York Post.
The Alphabet Boys
My phone started to buzz late Thursday afternoon and it never stopped.
The moment it was announced that Jordan was going after the alphabet boys, the media started to lose its mind.
Jordan penned a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray that stated, "The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of how and the extent to which the Executive Branch has coerced and colluded with companies and other intermediaries to censor speech.”
Jordan is looking for all communications between the agencies, private companies, and third-party groups that involved the censorship of the American people.
Thus far, Jordan told them both, "Your response without compulsory process has, to date, been woefully inadequate.”
At this point, there is no doubt government officials were censoring anyone that did not fall in line on social media, as was proven in “Missouri v Biden.”
Jordan continued, "Through its investigation, the Committee has uncovered evidence that contradicts several statements in Agent Chan’s deposition, particularly as they relate to his communications with social media platforms.
“This production is woefully inadequate and omits voluminous responsive material, including communications between DOJ and tech companies, internal communications, and communications between DOJ and other executive branch entities."
The DOJ responded, "The Department, including the FBI, does not censor content on social media platforms. Private companies have the sole authority to make decisions to protect their platforms and users. As with all the Committee’s various requests, the Department remains committed to working with the Committee to fulfill their informational needs,” reported Fox News.
The FBI issued a similar response, stating, "The FBI remains committed to cooperating with the committee in good faith.
"The FBI does not censor content on social media. We are a law enforcement and intelligence agency responsible for working with companies in a lawful way to protect our communities from child predators and terrorists, as well as hostile foreign countries like China, Russia, and Iran who are looking to exploit social media platforms to commit crimes or threaten national security.
"When the FBI identifies information that a hostile foreign actor is behind a social media account, we share that information with the company. Social media companies independently decide what, if any, action to take on their own platforms for their own customers."
All of that is nothing but spin. Let’s be realistic here… if you run a social media company and you get a note from the FBI or DOJ saying “X” is saying things that we think are dangerous and should be taken down or the account blocked, what do you think is going to happen?
Not only that, but we also have the Facebook files where Facebook officials discussed the pressure being applied to them by people from this administration.
This administration has repeatedly violated the Constitution… and it is finally coming out.
