Misrach Ewunetie had not been seen since October 14.
Ewunetie is a 20-year-old student at Princeton University.
Her body was found on Thursday, nearly a full week after she had just disappeared.
Her body was found near the tennis courts on the edge of campus.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
However, authorities did say, “there were no obvious signs of injury and her death does not appear suspicious or criminal in nature.”
Princeton VP W. Rochelle Calhoun stated, “Misrach’s death is an unthinkable tragedy. Our hearts go out to her family, her friends and the many others who knew and loved her.
“Princeton is a close-knit community, and we mourn Misrach together.”
The last place she had been seen was at an exclusive eating club where she had volunteered.
The club stated, “On Thursday night, one of our members who was initially signed up for duty was unable to attend our event, and Misrach volunteered to cover their shift.
“After the club had closed and all of the duty responsibilities had been fulfilled, Misrach—as well as the other members on duty—left for the night.”
Her family first alerted authorities that she was missing on Saturday when she missed a citizenship appointment.
She was set to graduate in 2024.
