I just read a piece by Steven Benen on MSNBC that makes a lot of sense.
Forget the fact he is a left-leaning clown because the point he makes is one that is already taking hold in the mainstream media.
That being that with Trump bringing Hillary Clinton and her bleached server up, he is bringing back to light all the things he said about classified documents at the time.
In essence, Trump's comments during the 2016 election cycle would be used against him, and they already are.
Big Mistake
Here are Trump's words during the 2016 election regarding classified documents…
If you also recall, then-Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) had requested that Hillary Clinton stop receiving security briefings because she was a security risk.
To that point, Benen wants to know if Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) would make the same request of Trump.
That aside, the real concern here is the comments that you heard Trump make in that video.
That video will be sliced and diced, and used in Democrat campaign videos during a general election, and those clips will be put side-by-side with all the charges being made against Trump regarding the classified documents.
I have already seen some mainstream media outlets running that video of Trump, so you know it is on the Democrat's radar.
There are plenty of trolls doing the same on Truth Social and Trump when his operatives repost Trump's Truth Social posts on the subject.
I have also seen the angle where people are basically saying that with Trump comparing his case to the case of Joe Biden, he is admitting his guilt, but they put zero weight to the fact that Hillary and Joe were never charged.
This entire narrative just shows how disgustingly biased both the justice system and the mainstream media are today.
In fact, Benen actually makes the argument that Hillary did nothing wrong, claiming that even though we know Hillary ordered her staff to have the servers scrubbed, "conspiring with aides to destroy evidence — something Clinton was never credibly accused of doing."
Now, this is an MSNBC contributor and the producer of the "Rachel Maddow Show" saying this… so tell me again how the mainstream media treats conservatives fairly.
