Hagrid is dead.
One of the most believed characters in the "Harry Potter" series has passed.
Robbie Coltrane passed away on Friday in Scotland.
He was 72 years old.
His cause of death was not revealed.

Coltrane was best known for playing Hagrid in the "Harry Potter" franchise.
However, he started his career at the tender age of 12, with an appearance in "Flash Gordon" being one of his first credits.
He paid his dues and eventually landed a role in a British series called "Cracker."
Coltrane's agent Belinda Wright stated, "As well as being a wonderful actor, he was forensically intelligent, brilliantly witty and, after 40 years of being proud to be called his agent, I shall miss him."
He is survived by his two children, Spencer and Alice.
