Squad Members Oppose Condemning Hamas for Terrorist Attacks on Israel

Several Democratic Squad members voted against a House resolution to condemn Hamas for its terror attacks on Israel.

The resolution was overwhelmingly supported in the House but was opposed by six of eight Squad members.

"The 10 members voting against the resolution included six of the eight 'Squad' members: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., Summer Lee, D-Pa., and Cori Bush, D-Mo. They were joined by Reps. André Carson, D-Ind., Al Green, D-Texas, and Delia Ramirez, D-Ill," Fox News reported.

"The remaining two 'Squad' members, Reps. Greg Casar, D-Texas, and Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., were joined by Reps. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, Nydia Velázquez, D-N.Y., Jesús 'Chuy' Garcia, D-Ill., and Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., in voting present," it added.

“I am grieving for every Palestinian, Israeli, and American life lost to this violence, and my heart breaks for all those who will be forever traumatized because of it,” Bush said in a statement.

“War and retaliatory violence doesn’t achieve accountability or justice; it only leads to more death and human suffering. We can’t bomb our way to peace, equality, and freedom," she continued.

Over 1,400 Israelis died during the attacks, including over 30 Americans.

In addition, more than 200 hostages are being held by Hamas, including some Americans. Two American hostages were released safely.

The concerning response by the Squad members shows the strong bias against Israel that has led to accusations of antisemitism against the team of House Democrats.

It will be interesting to see if Democrats speak out against the Squad members or whether they will remain complicit in allowing their actions to continue.
