Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) is likely to be voted in as the new minority leader for Democrats once the next session starts.
A major focus by Democrats during this election cycle was calling out the so-called “election deniers” in the party.
Even though the media does not like to cover the subject, the Democrat Party is loaded with its own election deniers.
This would include Jeffries, who has on multiple occasions claimed elections were stolen and illegitimate.
Call Him Out, Jake
An interview was announced with Jeffries on CNN with Jake Tapper.
Former Trump White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer challenged Tapper to broach this subject with Jeffries on his show, even supplying some of the tweets that had been sent out by Jeffries denying election results…
Heads up @CNNSotu the likely new leader of House Dems - election denier @RepJeffries - is on your show tomorrow- maybe ask about this https://t.co/XhvB8JxHWJ

After the interview was done and it hit the air, Tapper did not hit Jeffries with a single question regarding his stolen election claims.
Spicer immediately ripped him, even though Jeffries broached the subject at times…
NADA
Over a 2 segment infomercial/interview with incoming House Dem leader @RepJeffries on @CNNSotu @jaketapper asked ZERO questions about his history of election denialIn fact it was Jeffries that brought the subject up - twice - and still nothing https://t.co/b0sp62ycDK

Jeffries announced his candidacy for leadership after it was made clear that Pelosi would be stepping away from her role.
It was rather ironic that his letter covered the very things he had promoted himself, only accusing the Republican Party, not looking inward.
He wrote, “Our top non-governmental priority, for the sake of the American people, must be retaking the majority in November 2024.
“It is my hope that we can find common ground where possible with our Republican colleagues in order to deliver results for the American people.”
He continued, “At the same time, the opposing party appears to have no plan to accomplish anything meaningful.
“If the Republican Conference continues to major in demagoguery and minor in disinformation, their bankruptcy of ideas must be aggressively exposed on an ongoing basis.”
The idea that he wants to work with Republicans is a complete joke, as he has no intention of doing so.
Not only that, he has made it quite clear that he plans on AOC, who has proven to be about as intelligent as a box of rocks, having an even larger footprint in the party.
I am really glad the party has decided to move on from the fossils the party, but I just wish they had picked a better leader to take them forward.
Instead, they picked someone that is about as far left as it goes, setting this up to be one of the most contentious House sessions in modern history.
