Speaker Johnson says will not resign following passage of FISA bill

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will not resign after the passage of a FISA bill that allows mass warrantless surveillance of the American people.

Johnson was the deciding vote, and he could have killed the bill and put an end to the deep state's ability to spy on the American people. Instead, he stood with the deep state and made it clear to any Republican voter who had doubts before that he is a traitor to the American people and somehow worse than former House speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Johnson's office issued an exclusive statement to Breitbart News, defiantly stating that the speaker would not resign despite the massive backlash.

Raj Shah, the Speaker’s spokesman, told Breitbart "He’s not resigning," and when pressed on the idea emphatically stated that "no" Johnson will not step down.

Johnson's time as House Speaker has been disastrous and he has failed to stand up and make changes at every opportunity. The moment he faces resistance from the establishment and the Democrat Party, he instantly folds.

Johnson running to Trump

To add a surprising element to this story, Johnson is running to former President Donald Trump in hopes that Trump will save him.

This is despite the fact that Trump called on House Republicans to kill FISA citing the blatant spying that is used against the American people and even his own past presidential campaigns.

Johnson aims to present an election integrity bill to Trump that is purely symbolic and stands no chance of passage in the Democrat-held Senate. Yet it seems that Johnson's plan is working as Trump has yet to call for Johnson's removal.

Unwarranted spying powers have been abused by the federal government for years and that is only what we have discovered so far thanks to whistleblowers and leaked information.

The true extent of the spying that has been conducted on the American people will likely never be known. What is known is that Johnson had an opportunity to blow a hole in the deep state and he chose to side with them.

Johnson is a traitor

Speaker Johnson has made his allegiance to the deep state over the American people and for that, he should resign from his position and voters must work to replace him when his term is up.

Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) ripped Johnson saying, "This is how the Constitution dies. By a tie vote, the amendment to require a warrant to spy on Americans goes down in flames. This is a sad day for America. The Speaker doesn’t always vote in the House, but he was the tie breaker today. He voted against warrants."

Representative Troy Nehls (R-TX) illustrated what was at stake saying, "Today is a dark day for America. It is no secret that the DOJ and the FBI have used and abused FISA to spy on not only the greatest president of my lifetime, Donald J. Trump, but spy on everyday Americans. I could not, in good conscience, vote to give our nation’s weaponized DOJ the power to mass surveil the American people without significant reforms, such as a warrant requirement.”

Johnson openly betrayed Trump and this will likely lead Trump to throw Johnson to the wolves. Trump wants loyalty and Johnson's removal will send a message that there is no room for cowardice in the Republican Party.
