Speaker Johnson says he's ready to quit funding Ukraine
Because of the outrageous spending from the liberals in our government, America is running out of money.
House Speaker Mike Johnson seems to be one of the only politicians in America who realizes just how dire America's financial situation is.
As a result, Johnson has recently indicated that immediate funding for both hurricane relief efforts and Ukraine's war effort should be reduced in America.
He's come under fire for saying both things.
Still, Johnson felt the need to stick to what he believed.
One, America does not have the cash to continue spending like we have been. Two, Kamala Harris is NOT the right person to help fix either of these problems Johnson's been discussing
"So, whatever the terms are, I’m not sure, but I think if Kamala Harris is president, I don’t think it ends, and that’s a desperate and dangerous scenario," Mike Johnson said of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
It doesn't matter if you're talking about Harris being responsible for the people of America or the people of Ukraine. That's not a situation with which many around the world would be comfortable.
In the past, Johnson has come under fire from fellow Republicans for allowing the Ukraine war to be funded, seemingly indefinitely.
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia even tried to have Johnson removed from his position over the issue.
Maybe his Republican colleagues have gotten to him, because Johnson seems to be done agreeing to send American tax dollars to support Zelensky.
"I don’t have an appetite for further Ukraine funding, and I hope it’s not necessary," Johnson said in a recent interview. "If President Trump wins, I believe that he actually can bring that conflict to a close. I really do. I think he’ll call Putin and tell him that this is enough."
