Our old friend Maxine Waters is back in the game.
Ever since Trump got kicked off Twitter and left office, Waters has slipped back into anonymity.
With Trump announcing, she is hoping to make a return.
And now that Musk has reactivated Donald Trump’s Twitter account, Maxine is hoping to get a second run at her 15 minutes of fame.
I cannot think of another elected official that spews more hypocrisy than Maxine Waters.
She talks about corruption, yet she has funneled more than $1 million of campaign funds to her daughter.
She talks about domestic terrorism, yet she has openly called for her supporters to confront members of the Republican Party.
She is back to her old rhetoric again.
When she was asked for her reaction to Trump being back on Twitter, she stated, “I am terribly disturbed about it. I know that he is going to try to use it to continue to organize his constituency.
“It also gives him an opportunity to try and make people believe why he should be president of the United States.
“So he is going to politicalize it, he is going to use it, and all of those domestic terrorists that he is leading will have a voice. I am very disturbed about this.”
Well, a lot of people are disturbed she is still in office.
How is it that her constituents continue to pull the handle for her when her district appears to have more tents than homes?
She was also asked about Kevin McCarthy becoming speaker, to which she replied, “This is the leader of the Republicans, in the House, who at one time criticized Trump in a very huge way, and then went on his knees, crawling down to Mar-a-Lago to ask for forgiveness, and asked Trump, what he wanted him to do.
“So this non-leader, who is really a follower, was captured by the right-wing, including those in the House, and Trump himself is going to be a miserable human being. And I will help you try to make him as miserable as possible.”
That may be yet another argument to support DeSantis over Trump, simply to keep this woman quiet.
I am not sure I can handle another four years of her screaming into TV cameras.
