Yellen Shuts Down Calls for Investigation into Elon Musk

Last week, Joe Biden dropped a bombshell that Elon Musk’s activities are worth taking a look at.

When Biden was asked how, he gave a rather ominous answer that hinted he was about to weaponize the government against a perceived enemy.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen looked to dial it back a bit, stating that there was “no basis” on which to investigate Musk.

Not Happening

The real reason Biden and some media want Musk investigated is that Musk is now running Twitter.

And in case you have not seen, Biden is now being fact-checked on Twitter.

The premise of the investigation would be the four percent stake that the Saudis have in Musk’s $44 billion Twitter acquisition.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) has also brought up the subject, questioning if that investment was a way for the Saudis to get access to user information of Twitter accounts.

Yellen responded, “Well, I’m not sure precisely what [the president] had in mind, but we are — we have really no basis — to the best of my knowledge — to examine his finances of his company.

“I’m not aware of concerns that would cause us to [investigate].”

With Twitter no longer in the back pocket of the Democrat Party, expect these attacks to continue until someone bites and allows a massive investigation into the social media platform.

If they launch an investigation, they better have cause because something tells me that Musk will not be playing nice.
