Joe Biden was supposed to have fixed the baby shortage formula crisis in this country.
The administration made a few moves that created a big headline splash, then the coverage of the issue just sort of vanished.
It turns out, the crisis has gotten far worse, with parents struggling to find formula.
A year after the time the shortage first popped up in the news, parents still cannot find the formula they need to feed their children.
This is especially true for parents who are looking for specialty formulas. Popular hypoallergenic and lactose-free formulas are virtually impossible to find.
New mother Ellie Johnston told Fox Business, "We have been getting less powder, Nutramigen. So, whatever I have, I'm kind of like, can I just feed him less? But then it's like, you can't feed a child less because that's not fair to them."
Hannah Kroll, another mother of two, stated, "Parents can only buy two to four containers of formula at a time, depending on the store and those rules. That lasts a family about a week, a week and a half.
"Parents whose children are on Alimentum formulas or hypoallergenic formulas are not able to switch – and right now those are the ones that we are very much missing."
Reckitt, the maker of the popular baby formula brand Enfamil, has already announced that this is not something that is going to change anytime soon. The company expects to continue to have shortages through spring.
The crisis started after the Sturgis, MI, Abbott plant was closed earlier this year. The plant had been closed because of reports of infants being sick due to consuming the products that had been made at the plant.
The Biden Administration grabbed all kinds of headlines for "Operation Fly Formula," only we have not had a transport of baby formula in about three months, with the last shipment having been received in April.
When the White House was asked for comment on the subject, no response was given.
Fox Business discusses…
Is it me, or does the mainstream media simply continue to ignore most negative stories about Biden?
The Twitter leak, baby formula shortages, Hunter Biden laptop, and the border crisis… almost zero coverage anywhere other than Fox News and right-wing oriented sites.
It is not like these are some crazy right-wing conspiracy stories… these are real issues the American people need to know about that the media refuses to cover.
