Over the weekend, Turning Point held its Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, FL.
As usual, the conference closed with straw poll voting for the upcoming primary battle.
Trump took the number one spot, which was not exactly a surprise. What was a surprise was the man that is suddenly emerging as the number two man in Trump’s circle of supporters.
Trump took down the poll with 87.5 percent of the vote, reported Breitbart.
Trump took no time at all to celebrate the win, stating, “Just heard that I (WE!) won the big Turning Point Straw Poll in a BLOWOUT, getting 85.7% of the Vote.
“Ron DeSanctimonious came in a solid 3rd with 4.3%, Vivek got 2%, and Sloppy Chris Christie, as usual, got a big, fat, ZERO! Turning Point put on a GREAT event in West Palm Beach, setting all kinds of records, including in attendance,” reported The Hill.
The fact that DeSantis barely registered was not really all that much of a surprise either when you consider all the attacks that Trump has levied.
What was a bit of a surprise was Vivek Ramaswamy coming in as second choice at 51 percent.
You want to know why pharma prices are so high? Look no further than Vivek Ramaswamy who made his money on medical patents.
The fact that Charlie Kirk and people like him are embracing this clown is a bit surprising to me…
Vivek really showed up this weekend and the Turning Point Action straw poll results prove it. 51% of respondents picked this man as their 2nd choice candidate. Pretty remarkable how far he’s come in a very short amount of time. https://t.co/yJzke2HdA2

This dude is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I would hope that most people can see through this.
Kirk did comment that a lot of people were surprised that DeSantis did not attend the event, but I do not see why they would expect him at an event that is largely tailored to Donald Trump.
This conference was like a Trump rally, not a conservative rally, and I am not saying that as a shot against Trump or the event, but it is just the reality that the overwhelming majority of Turning Point supporters are also Trump supporters.
Kirk explained, “What’s also clear is that Governor DeSantis’ decision not to come to this event probably hurt his showing in this poll.
“There are a lot of people here who have a lot of respect for the governor and what he’s done in Florida, but I was approached multiple times by attendees telling me they were disappointed he didn’t come, and that’s evident in the poll results. … Vivek showed up and gave a great speech, and he was the clear second-choice favorite among our people.”
One more interesting fact before I wrap this up…
A whopping 77 percent of attendees stated they will NOT donate money to the RNC and 66 percent do not trust the RNC to get voters to the polls come November.
So, let’s not forget here that the RNC chair is Ronna McDaniel, who Trump endorsed for that position. I think that says a lot considering this is a huge Trump crowd that put those numbers up.
