Illinois has just made a drastic decision that many are calling very reckless.
Officials are ending cash bail across the state.
That means that many people charged with crimes, even violent ones, will not be forced to provide any collateral if they don't want to sit in jail while awaiting trial.
Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Beacon is just one of the sheriffs in the state who have sounded the alarm and suggested that this new rule just may be "America's most dangerous law."
"Folks who live here are extremely concerned," Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon told Fox News. "It's an experiment on the backs of victims of crime. I have serious concerns and so do the people that live here."
After the Illinois Supreme Court made its ruling, cash bail was set to be ended in the state on September 18, 2023. Illinois will officially be the first state in the nation to fully abolish cash bail.
People who hated cash bail said that they did because it was racist.
However, calling the law racist wouldn't be correct.
Liberals are claiming that cash bail unfairly targeted minorities who often didn't have the money required to walk free instead of sitting behind bars when they were awaiting trial.
Cash bail didn't target minorities, it targeted CRIMINALS.
There was nothing in the rules that targeted one race instead of another.
Liberals will just say anything they can to eliminate personal responsibility from the minds of Americans.
If Americans are unable to think critically about right and wrong for themselves, then they will be forced to take the government's lead when those forks in the road arrive.
As we've learned in America since Old Joe Biden became our president, following this government's lead on ANYTHING is a very dangerous idea.
