Cayler Ellingson’s Alleged Killer Set Free on Bond

If you were looking for a report to get your blood boiling, this is it.

Shannon Brandt allegedly ran over 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson.

He alleged that Ellingson was a member of a radical right-wing group.

Of course, Ellingson will never get to tell his side of the story because he is dead.

Role Reversal

Virtually every major cable news network refused to cover this story.

Even the top papers decided this murder was not newsworthy.

It did not check the correct box.

Had it been a conservative driving drunk against a BLM or ANTIFA member, well, we all know this would have been all over the news.

North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind has already debunked the radical right-wing narrative, not that it mattered.

If the allegations are true, Ellingson was blatantly targeted and ran down by Brandt.

None of that seemed to matter to the judge, who released Brandt on very low bail.

He is not even under house arrest, but he cannot drink alcohol, nor is he able to leave the state.

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Neama Rahman stated the bond is a "low amount" and "woefully inadequate."

Rahman continued, "Yeah, it's a low amount, no question. Whenever you're dealing with a vehicular manslaughter case, that's low in general."

Brandt's attorney has not made a statement regarding the case, stating that he wanted to give the family time to grieve before addressing the case publicly.
