Senator says Donald Trump should NOT pardon Hunter Biden

Now that President Donald Trump will be returning to the White House, there’s a burning question in the mind of some officials.

Will Trump pardon Hunter Biden?

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin had a LOT to say on the subject.

Johnson sat down for a NewsNation interview in which he let his thoughts fly.

According to Johnson, he doesn’t believe Trump “should pardon Hunter.”

Johnson did not stop there, going on to say what he says Trump’s next move may be when it comes to Hunter Biden.

“I could see possibly commuting the sentence, reducing it, and it wouldn’t surprise me if President Trump would do that. I would not pardon Hunter. I would certainly not. I wouldn’t scream about commuting his sentence or reducing it in some way, shape, or form,” said Johnson.

Currently, Hunter Biden is facing sentencing in two cases and a potentially significant time behind bars.

However, during a previous interview, Trump was asked if he would pardon the current first son.

His response stunned everyone.

“I wouldn't take it off the books. See, unlike Joe Biden, despite what they’ve done to me, where they’ve gone after me so viciously, despite what, and Hunter’s a bad boy. There’s no question about it. He’s been a bad boy. All you had to do is see the laptop from hell. But I happen to think it’s very bad for our country,” Trump previously stated in an interview prior to winning the election.

So, knowing that Trump is undecided on the matter and has now won the election, everyone is waiting to see how Trump might address Hunter Biden’s legal issues.

At this point, all we can do is wait to see how the president-elect will move forward.

Do you think Trump should follow Johnson’s advice and forgo pardoning Biden?
