Senator Menendez Submits Resignation

Well, my friends, it is official.

One of the most corrupt Senators in the history of Congress has finally turned in his resignation.

Senator Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), after having been convicted in a bribery scheme, is finally out of office.

Corruption Runs Deep

If you missed the story, Menendez was convicted after a raid turned up gold bars, cash, and some rather pricey gifts that were given to Menendez for political favors.

The gifts came from friends of Menendez’s who were linked to the Qatari and Egyptian governments.

Menendez was pushing through policy that benefited their interests rather than the interests of the United States and its citizens.

This was far from his first corruption trial, but he had always managed to wriggle his way out of it up until now.

Menendez continues to be defiant, blasting the ruling in the case, adding, “I have never been anything but a patriot of my country, and I have never, ever been a foreign agent.”

Just a blatant lie, as Menendez has always been in this game for himself.

Don’t expect this to be the last of Menendez in the news, however, as there were already rumors surrounding his resignation.

Several unnamed sources have told various publications that his resignation and withdrawal from the Senate race were conditions of a pardon that he allegedly worked out with Biden.

The speculation is that Biden may pardon Menendez on his way out the door as his last act.

If that does happen, you better believe the entire right is going to lose its mind over the blatant corruption that is permitted without penalty among Democrats while they continue to go after Trump with everything they have.
