Senator Cornyn: Kash Patel Will Be Confirmed

One of the most controversial picks Donald Trump has made for his upcoming administration was Kash Patel.

Patel has people on both sides of the aisle who question whether he is fit to be the head of the FBI, but his popularity seems to be warming up a bit.

To that point, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) is now being so bold as to predict that Patel will definitely make it through the confirmation process.

He Will Make It

It is not that Patel is not qualified for the job, as his experience is suitable for the post.

My problem with Patel is that he has backed some rather odd conspiracy theories in the past.

Having said that, he was also the one who spotted the FISA abuse during the Russian collusion case, or at least that is what the whispers were when then-Rep. Nunes (R-CA) released his memo.

I have no problem with Patel being tasked to gut the FBI of its rogue elements, but I am just not sure I want him to have the keys to the car, so to speak.

Cornyn believes otherwise, stating, “People I know and who I trust speak well of him and I’m looking forward to meeting with him.”

When asked directly if he thought Patel would be confirmed, he responded, “Yes, he will be.”

This is a big win for Patel and Trump, as Cornyn is part of Senator McConnell’s (R-KY) inner circle and part of the swamp that we all expect to fight Trump.

If Patel does get through the confirmation process, expect sweeping changes in the FBI as soon as he sits down in the Director’s chair.

He has been adamant that the “deep state” will be removed, and I would also expect him to start digging into abuses when Donald Trump was being investigated.

Again, this will be portrayed as revenge by the left, but I don’t see it that way.

If people abused their power, weaponized the DOJ, or bent the rules to go after Trump, this is not revenge… it’s justice.
