Senate Staffer Fired After Allegations of Filming Gay Sex in Senator's Office
A male staff member for Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) was fired after allegations of being involved in a video recording of the aide having sex with another man in a Senate office.
Maese-Czeropski, 24, posted the video on X, according to the Spectator, which first broke the story.

"The roughly eight seconds of intercourse allegedly took place in the same room where nominees to the Supreme Court are grilled by senators and where former FBI boss James Comey once testified about alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Graphic video of the moment was published by The Daily Caller Friday evening," the New York Post reported.
"The United States Capitol Police launched a probe into potential criminal violations after the video began circulating," it added.

“This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda,” he said. “While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgment, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace," the ex-aide said on LinkedIn following the incident.
“Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters,” he added.
The attempt to blame the fallout on homophobia is unlikely to help following the shocking account.
Cardin's office made only a brief statement on the staff member's departure, noting that no more would be said on the matter.
The senator and fellow Democrats are now in recovery mode following the Friday shock account which threatens the party's image ahead of the 2024 election.
The matter is likely to remain at the forefront of discussion by conservatives attacking Democrats in the weeks ahead as candidates strategize for the upcoming election year.
