Secret Service says Trump security failures may result in discipline
When it comes to the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, the U.S. Secret Service has been CAUGHT.
In a recent report surrounding the events that occurred on the day of the July 13 assassination attempt, some of the decisions made by the Secret Service members working that day may call for disciplinary measures against some of them.
What the investigation found has shown that the Secret Service might not be innocent in all this.
The investigation launched has “identified several instances of behaviors and acts by multiple employees that warrant review for corrective counseling and, potentially, disciplinary action.”
Unfortunately for Trump, the failures really were that bad.
The report did not stop there.
“All Secret Service employees are held to a high standard of conduct in the performance of their duties when providing protection to those that entrust us with their well-being and the safety of their families,” continued the document.
The report went on to say that during the day of the attempt, some of the Secret Service members working that day did not have the correct understanding of responsibilities and the communication between those working was also a mess.
According to the report, instead of doing their ACTUAL job, some of the Secret Service “instead relayed critical pieces of information conveyed by law enforcement partners via telephone and text message to some, but not all, Secret Service personnel at the site.”
While we do not know next steps for those working that day, the report went on to say that “the Secret Service will continue to make further changes and implement viable recommendations that it receives from various entities.”
“The agency is devoted to the mission entrusted to us and will work vigilantly to restore the trust bestowed upon us by the people we protect, the Congress, and the American people,” the document concluded.
For now, all we can do is wait to see if discipline is dished out to those who failed Donald Trump that day and nearly cost him his life.
Do you think disciplinary action will be taken?
