Secret Service Opens Fire on Carjackers

A word of advice for carjackers.. don’t pick a Secret Service SUV when a member of the president’s family is in the area.

Reports broke late Sunday night and early Monday morning that Secret Service agents protecting Naomi Biden, the granddaughter of Joe Biden, had opened fire.

Naomi, however, was not in danger.

Get Away

Agents spotted three people trying to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle that was parked near Naomi’s Georgetown home.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi stated, “[A]round 11:58 p.m. … Secret Service agents encountered possibly three individuals breaking a window on a parked and unoccupied government vehicle.

“During this encounter, a federal agent discharged a service weapon and it is believed no one was struck.

“The offenders immediately fled the scene in a red vehicle and a regional lookout was issued to supporting units.

“There was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service.”

The shooting is now being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police.

So, you know what my next question is…

Had this, for instance, been a police officer in Texas who fired his weapon at someone who had not threatened the officers and was “just” trying to steal a vehicle, there would be national outrage right now.

This was the Secret Service, however, and they are watching Joe Biden’s granddaughter, so I am curious how this incident will be portrayed.

Will there be outrage among the Squad members who despise the police, or will they just let this shooting slide since it was a Biden family member?

And please do not get the impression that I am sticking up for these criminals because that is not the case.

What I am trying to do, however, is show the duplicity in members of Congress who whine about police when it suits their case and then defer judgment at times such as this when it is one of their own being protected.
