Secret Service countersnipers' text messages go public
With each new report that comes out, the case of Donald Trump's shooting gets more and more interesting.
Around the time of the shooting, America thought that the gunman may not have been seen at all or only seen shortly before he fired shots at President Trump.
A few days later, DailyMail.com reported that gunman Thomas Crooks was seen at the rally nearly an HOUR before the shooting take place.
Now, new text messages obtained from Secret Service countersniper agents indicate that they were aware of Thomas Crooks' presence over NINETY minutes before the shooting actually happened.
Just to recap, the story the public's been told is that the Secret Service didn't know...
Oh wait the Secret Service only knew for a few minutes...
Oh wait the Secret Service actually knew for at least like an hour...
Oh wait actually the Secret Service AND local law enforcement knew about the shooter's presence for way MORE than an hour.
Each time we hear the story, it changes a little.
The most recent version of events is that at least one sniper spotted Thomas Crooks and alerted the others when he was leaving his shift over 90 minutes before the shooting occurred.
"Guys I am out. Be safe," he texted his security group. "Someone followed our lead and snuck in and parked by our cars just so you know. I'm just letting you know because you see me go out with my rifle and put it in my car so he knows you guys are up there."
The sniper followed up with a message that said, "I'm just letting you know because you see me go out with my rifle and put it in my car so he knows you guys are up there he's sitting to the direct right on a picnic table about 50 yards from the exit."
At least one of his coworkers responded with a thumbs up and "Roger that."
Somehow, in the next 90 minutes, Thomas Crooks got out of the Secret Service's sights and up onto that roof where he fired the shot(s) that almost changed American history.
Hopefully, someday, American citizens will be told what REALLY happened.
