'Rocky' Actor Burt Young Dead at 83
Burt Young, known as the character Paulie in "Rocky," died at the age of 83.
His cause of death was not revealed, with his death confirmed as taking place in Los Angeles on Oct. 8.

"Burt was an actor of tremendous emotional range," his manager Lynda Bensky said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital. "He could make you cry, and he could scare you to death."
"But the real pathos that I experienced was the poignancy of his soul. That’s where it came from," Bensky added.

“'Rocky' was nominated for 10 Oscars, including Best Supporting Actor for Young. It won three, including best picture," Newsmax reported.
"Young and co-star Burgess Meredith, who was also nominated, lost to Jason Robards in 'All the President's Men,'" it continued.
Young would go on to appear in six of the iconic "Rocky" films, becoming a vital part of the cast that kept the award-winning film franchise moving forward for over a decade.
His impact would later extend to other television and film appearances, including "Back to School," starring comedian Rodney Dangerfield, "Miami Vice" and "The Equalizer." Young also made an appearance in the popular television series "The Sopranos" in 2001.
His wife, Gloria, passed away in 1974. Young is survived by his daughter, one grandchild, and a brother.
Young's impact extended to millions of film fans in America and beyond through his key role in the boxing movie series. His loss is remembered by his family and fans who will always remember him as Paulie for his years of dedication to the "Rocky" acting role.
