Roberts Rushes Through Trump Oath of Office

Chief Justice Roberts does not have the best record when it comes to swearing in presidents.

He did it again on Monday with Donald Trump.

Roberts was in such a rush to get Trump sworn in, he did not even give Melania Trump enough time to stand next to Trump with Bibles.

Oops

Trump had planned on using the same two Bibles he used in 2017 to take his oath of office.

He was going to use the Lincoln Bible and the Trump Family Bible, held by Melania, to take his oath of office.

Roberts did not give Melania time to get to Trump’s side before administering the oath, however, so Trump’s hand was actually not on the Bible when Trump took the oath.

The outrage on the internet was unbelievable from both sides of the aisle.

Conservatives were obviously upset with Thomas for rushing through the ceremony to allow Trump and Melania this rare moment.

Liberals were upset because they somehow seem to think that Trump’s oath of office is not valid.

Constitutional expert Jonathan Turley quickly put out those fires, however.

He stated, “Chief Justice John Roberts appears to have taken the view that "Justice delayed is justice denied" by jumping forward to start the oath before Trump could put his hand on the Bible. The Internet is alive with speculation that it might not count. Once again, it does...

“...It is wishful thinking for some and angst for others that the Bible-lite oath might not satisfy the standard under Article II. It is time to move on to other more important things to worry about . . . like who will be the next coach for the Chicago Bears.”

So, now that the issue is put to rest, we can move forward to see what fun things Donald Trump does now that he is actually in office.

Rest assured, the safe spaces will be needed soon enough, as I have already seen my liberal friends losing their minds over Trump’s initial moves and being sure to post any similarity between policy and Project 2025.

As usual, most of them are clueless and making a dust-up over nothing.

Regardless of how you feel about Trump, rest assured, he will leave office on January 20, 2029, a new president will be installed, and our country will still be here.

The only truly shocking thing for me is that our streets were not set on fire when Trump took his oath of office, as I was sure the liberal horde would have gone bonkers, but so far, so good.
