RNC Files Motion in Arizona for Proof of Citizenship

When Lara Trump was made co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), she vowed to press voter laws before this election.

She has kept her promise, with yet another suit filed to protect election integrity, this time in Arizona.

The RNC just filed a suit in Arizona to require proof of citizenship to vote.

This is something that Democrats will portray as oppression, but that is hardly the case.

We have to show ID to travel, to buy cigarettes, to get a loan, etc., yet the most important responsibility and right we have as American citizens is what Democrats are trying to make completely random and accessible to those who are not legally allowed to vote.

To that point, the RNC stated, “If this motion is successful, Arizona can enforce its law requiring documentary proof of citizenship to vote in this November’s presidential election or cast a ballot by mail in any election.”

RNC co-chair Michael Whatley added, “Our elections and the future of our country should be decided by Americans.

“Non-citizen voting compromises our elections, and we are committed to stopping it.

“This filing is another critical legal step in our fight to secure the 2024 election.”

Arizona GOP Chair Gina Swoboda echoed the same concerns, stating, “Our election outcomes must reflect the voices of American voters.

“Any vote cast by a non-citizen dilutes those votes and risks silencing those voices.

“This is a very real problem in Arizona, and we are committed to resolving it.

“The AZGOP and the RNC are engaging at every level to ensure our elections properly reflect the will of Arizona voters.”

This, to me, is just common sense, and if Democrats truly want to get on board with election integrity, they would support this effort and stop using minorities in this country to gaslight the American people about our elections.
