Former Professional Football Star Richard Sherman Arrested For DUI

Former NFL legend and Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman has been arrested.

Sherman was brought in and booked on the allegations of driving under the influence.

Fans will no doubt be devastated over this news regarding the former gridiron standout.

More recently, the NFL star has been known for his days as a television sports analyst.

We do not have any other information on Sherman’s arrest at this time, but we hope that if the allegations are true, Sherman can get the help he needs to make better decisions in the future.

Sherman has accomplished a lot he should be proud of and it would be sad to see him throw that all away.

The former star athlete began his career in the NFL in 2011 with the Seahawks.

He would stay with the team until 2018, when he went to play for the San Francisco 49ers.

Sherman finished his last season in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.

Now, he has a dream position discussing the ongoings of the NFL with other football legends.

There aren’t many who can say they have a gig as sweet as Sherman's, and even fewer who can say they played in the NFL for more than 10 years.

However, struggling with alcohol is something to which many can relate.

Sherman would not be the first star athlete to receive a DUI conviction if the allegations prove true.

According to Ranker.com, there are a ton of very well-known athletes who also got behind the wheel after they had too much to drink.

Mike Tyson received a DUI in 2006.

Dennis Rodman received his in 2003.

Michael Phelps received a DUI in 2004 and then was arrested in 2014 for drunk driving AGAIN.

Needless to say, alcohol abuse is something with which many people struggle, but it is also something that is totally avoidable.

It is never okay to get behind the wheel of a car after you have been drinking and put the lives of others at risk.

We hope that if Sherman did, in fact, drive under the influence, he is able to make the commitment to never do it again.
