Resolutions Blocking Non-Citizens from Voting Pass in Several States

I am just going to say it... I thought Trump would win, but the results I am seeing overall, well, I don't think anyone could have truly saw this coming.

As far as I know, few people even predicted a Trump win, so anyone now saying they knew this would be a landslide is pretty much a liar.

And when you talk about possibly holding the House and referendums that passed, well, this was a grand slam for the GOP.

Big Wins

Before we get into these referendums, let's just talk about the election first.

I thought I was going out on a limb saying that Trump would win with about 292 electoral votes solely because I just thought nobody was going to carry the Blue Wall, but Trump did it.

Not only that, but Trump swept the battleground states for a win that echoed his 2016 win against Hillary Clinton.

The biggest news of all, however, was the popular vote win, making this the biggest win for the GOP in two decades.

The cherry on top of this is the measures that appeared on ballots in eight states to block non-citizens from voting in state elections.

These measures passed in North and South Carolina, Wisconsin, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Arizona also passed a measure turning illegal immigration into the state a state crime, over and above this being a federal crime.
My friends, this election was about as good as it gets.

Now everything hinges on the GOP being able to hold the House. If they hold the House, they have two years to push through legislation, which would be using a play out of the Democrat playbook to use reconciliation for budgetary legislation.

I hate reconciliation, but Democrats changed the game, so this is clearly fair game during these two years.

If the GOP can accomplish what we hope they accomplish, we just might make it through to 2028 with Congress intact.
