Grassley reveals whistleblower records alleging anti-Trump bias on Jack Smith's team
Donald Trump said from the very beginning that the criminal cases against him were nothing but "witch hunts" conducted by his political enemies in an attempt to keep him from a second term as America's president.
It turns out, Trump was 100% correct.
Breitbart reports that Sen. Chuck Grassley, a Republican from Iowa, recently uncovered and released whistleblower records proving that "an anti-Trump agent was behind former special counsel Jack Smith’s 2020 case against President Donald Trump."
Grassley first revealed the existence of the whistleblower on January 30 during the Senate Judiciary Committee's confirmation hearing of Donald Trump's nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel.
Fox News is reporting that "an anti-Trump FBI agent was responsible for opening Smith’s case against President Donald Trump, according to internal Federal Bureau of Investigation emails shared with Sen. Grassley by a DOJ whistleblower."
Grassley and Senator Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin, allege that the documents "prove the genesis of the federal election interference case brought against Trump began at the hands of FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault.
Thibault was fired from the FBI for violating the Hatch Act with his political posts on social media.
Whistleblowers allege that Thibault had shown a "pattern of active public partisanship," which likely impacted how the FBI handled not only the case against Donald Trump but also the case against Hunter Biden.
One of the leaked emails sent by Thibault said, "I had a discussion with the case team and we believe there to be predication to include former President of the United States Donald J. Trump as a predicated subject."
If Thibault was actually a major force behind bringing the lawsuits against Donald Trump, that's a major problem.
The people involved in the case were supposed to be completely impartial and only acting based on facts.
If somebody like Thibault, who clearly had an agenda, was involved, then there's no way the investigation or trial against Donald Trump could have been fair.
Liberals can deny it all they want, but Donald Trump called this from the beginning.
