Conspiracy theories everywhere regarding the COVID pandemic were just kicked into overdrive.
A Whatsapp conversation between former United Kingdom Health Minister Matt Hancock and an aide is raising a lot of alarms.
Perhaps they used the wrong wording, but it sure made it sound like they intentionally released a new variant of the COVID virus, reports GB News.
Shocking Conversation
We are definitely erring on the side of caution with this report because I know what I want to say, and I know what I can say without the censor police coming down on us.
Regarding the conversation, Hancock allegedly told his aide, “We frighten the pants off everyone with the new strain.” The aide then responds, “Yep, that’s what will get proper behaviour change,” reports the Daily Caller.
The comes the question that sent chills up the spine, with Hancock asking, “When do we deploy the new variant?”
I’m sorry, what? As if they controlled when it was released to the public?
Matt Hancock told team to 'deploy new Covid variant' in explosive leaked messages

Well, the next day in parliament, Hancock introduced the new variant.
Responding to the leaked messages, Hancock stated, “There is absolutely no public interest case for this huge breach. All the materials for the book have already been made available to the Inquiry, which is the right, and only, place for everything to be considered properly and the right lessons to be learned. As we have seen, releasing them in this way gives a partial, biased account to suit an anti-lockdown agenda.”
This all comes about via a book regarding the pandemic that Hancock was working on with anti-lockdown journalist Isabel Oakeshott.
Oakeshott was the one that leaked the Whatsapp conversation to the media, hence the reference by Hancock that the texts were being taken out of context when his book had already come out.
Notice, however, he took no care to explain what he meant by releasing the new strain.
