REPORT: Trump Likely to Appoint Kash Patel to Head FBI or Top DOJ Post

There is a name that is still out there among the Trump loyalists that will surely get a top position in the Trump administration.  

I am speaking about Kash Patel.  

According to new reports, Patel is likely to be nominated to head the FBI or possibly a top DOJ position. 

Mistake? 

I know Patel is a MAGA favorite, but this guy really concerns me.  

He is a bit of an enigma as far as I am concerned, as I have seen him do some amazing work, but at the same time, I have seen him run with some conspiracy theories to exhaustion.  

The one piece of work that stands out the most for me is when Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) was in office, and Patel helped author the letter released by Nunes that outlined the FISA abuse during the Trump-Russian collusion investigation.  

At the time, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) refuted the report, and the media bought into his version.  

Years later, after the Robert Mueller report was released, we all found out it was Nunes who had it right.  

On Patel possibly getting the top spot at the FBI, a Trump source stated, "Kash has a lot of allies who think placing him in a top role would be well-received by the Trump base, and send a clear message that Trump is serious about major reform to the justice and law-enforcement agencies.” 

You guys all know I am all for the FBI being gutted and rebuilt, but I am just not sure that Patel is the man for the job.  

Again, I know this is not a popular opinion, but I could see someone like Missouri AG Andrew Bailey heading the FBI, and maybe Patel as his deputy.  

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe stated, "No part of the FBI's mission is safe with Kash Patel in any position of leadership in the FBI, and certainly not in the deputy director's job.” 

I think McCabe is a snake in the grass, which is why I am saying Patel would be better suited for a high-ranking position, just not THE position. 

Let someone else be the face of the agency, and let Patel be the terminator who guts the rogue elements and allows someone like Bailey to rebuild it.  

After that is done, I would love to see Patel lead the investigation into these rogue elements and possibly bring McCabe and former FBI Director James Comey to justice.
