REPORT: Trump Beginning to Get Irritated Over Claims of ‘Shadow President’ Elon Musk

If you've seen the pictures from Mar-a-Lago over New Year’s, it seems obvious that the lovefest between Donald Trump and Elon Musk is over.

Trump was not exactly his usual jovial self at the event.

Reports are now adding some context to that observation, reporting that the constant call of Musk being the real president or shadow president is starting to wear on Trump.

Not Having It

This is a relationship that is doomed for failure, in my opinion.

You have two people who crave the spotlight working together, and that just never works.

Not only that, but we all know that Donald Trump does not like to share the spotlight or give credit to everyone.

You hear him talk… he is the ONLY one who can fix the country’s problems. He is the ONLY one who can get the border fixed. And his inner circle and allies in Congress are constantly in the news saying the same thing.

Along comes Musk, who is spewing policy ideas, and the media and Democrats are using that to create a wedge by calling him the shadow president.

Recently, Musk expressed his support for H-1B visas, which, while Trump made significant changes to the program when he was in office last time, he has used this program significantly in his business, as well as the H-2B program.

After Musk went on a profanity-laced rant, including against MAGA on this issue, Trump openly stated that he supported Musk’s position on this, which is completely contrary to the policy changes Trump made to the program when he was in office.

The talk of Musk being shadow president only grew after that, and that comes after Trump told a rally crowd, “He’s not going to be president, that I can tell you. You know why he can’t be [president]? He wasn’t born in this country.”

This has gotten worse in recent days, and one Trump insider stated, “There was likely an allure to it in the beginning but it seemed like it could go ugly. Trump is Trump. I think it’s just the way Trump is. Someone that is around that much and having influence would be a bother."

The fact is, if Trump sees Musk as a threat, he will turn on him on a dime, and we all know it.

Honestly, I would be surprised if Musk is still around during mid-terms. The only way he stays in Trump’s good favor is if he shuts his mouth and works in the shadows.

But if Musk continues to create headlines and the media continues to call him a shadow president, he will not be around much longer.
