REPORT: Santos Talking Plea Deal

There has been an interesting development in the case against former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.).

Santos, who whined in the media that he is an innocent man and was wrongly treated by his fellow members of Congress for being kicked out of the party, is apparently talking plea deal with prosecutors.

Reports have stated that he is hoping for a deal where he will not be required to go to jail, more or less hoping to get a sweetheart deal like Hunter Biden initially had.

Let’s Make a Deal

We shall see if Santos is able to do what Hunter Biden could not, which is get a juicy deal passed by the judge.

If you recall, Hunter had a great deal that would have given him immunity from future charges, but the deal was struck down by the presiding judge.

Hunter’s legal team then told prosecutors to rip up the deal, but now after Hunter was hit with nine fresh tax charges, three of them felonies, he is surely hoping to get a new deal that would keep him out of jail.

Santos was indicted on 23 federal charges, many of them related to campaign finance violations.

After pleading not guilty to all charges, Santos’ legal team very quietly started to try to negotiate a deal with prosecutors, who stated, "The parties are presently engaged in plea negotiations with the goal of resolving this matter without the need for a trial. The parties wish to continue those negotiations over the next thirty days.”

In addition to those charges, Santos misled voters with a bogus resume during the 2022 election, completely misrepresenting himself, which is why I thought he should have been expelled.

He was eventually expelled, but not until the Ethics Committee conducted its investigation, making the recommendation that he be expelled after finding out he was using campaign funds for things like cosmetic surgery and OnlyFans.
