REPORT: Melania Makes Suggestion for VP to Donald Trump

I think it is safe to say that a lightning bolt was just sent through the entire GOP.

An Axios report is blowing up right now regarding Melania Trump putting her choice for VP in Trump’s ear.

If the report is accurate, Melania would like Donald Trump to pick Tucker Carlson as his VP.

Good or Bad?

The report cited sources close to the Trumps that say Melania believes that Carlson would really help Trump on the campaign trail and that he has a strong presence.

Those same sources, however, believe that Carlson could outshine Trump on the campaign trail, so Trump would be reluctant to put Carlson on the ticket.

I can tell you this… MAGA would love this if it happens, as Carlson has “God” status among Trump’s most diehard supporters, but that is not what Trump needs to attract with his VP selection.

Trump needs help with women voters as well as being able to take advantage of the fallout for Biden among black voters, and Carlson would not help with either of them.

This is still a bit odd to me, especially when you consider it was not that long ago that audio was leaked from Fox News with Carlson saying some not-very-nice things about Trump.

Since that incident, Carlson quit Fox News and has apparently made nice with Trump to the point that Carlson now says he is all-in on Trump.

Carlon explained why he is now supporting Trump so strongly, stating, “So it’s bigger than Trump. It’s bigger than Biden. It’s a question of ‘Do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system?’ So I’m voting for Trump, and if they convict him, I will send him the max donations and I will lead protests. That’s how I feel.”

I know Melania has a lot of influence over Trump, but I still believe the VP will be Kristi Noem, Ben Carson, or Tim Scott, possibly Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL).

I believe any of those would help Trump immensely, especially if he picks Tim Scott, who could help Trump significantly with black voters.
