Well, we are finally starting to get some dish on why Melania Trump is not joining Donald Trump on the campaign trail.
As we suspected, it has a lot to do with tell-all books, reports, and her alleged rocky relationship with Jared Kushner and Trump's daughter, Ivanka, reported the New York Times.
I would wager this is more about the tell-all books than anything else.
Tired of It
Even though Ivanka was a supermodel and Playboy centerfold, she has never been one to purposely put herself in the limelight when not behind the lens.
Now, more than ever, she knows if she pokes her head up out of the sand, she is going to get hammered by the media, something she loathed as the First Lady.
The hush money lawsuit has opened old wounds, and that does not even account for all the former administration officials that are writing memoirs about their time in the administration, as well as their observations about Donald and Melania Trump.
Over and above the alleged cheating drama, Melania was particularly hurt by the tell-all by Stephanie Grisham, who worked for both Donald and Melania Trump during her time in the administration.
The book, "I'll Take Your Questions Now," was not exactly a kind story about Melania.
The same can be said about former aide Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who wrote, "Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady." That book in particular portrays Melania in a very negative light.
An example is the line, "Her selfishness is so deep, it enables her to keep her distance from the rest of the world," reported Yahoo!
So, Melania has decided to take a back seat, despite reported pleas from Donald Trump for her to join him on the trail.
If Trump is going to have a successful run, however, she has to know that down the stretch, she will need to be there for Trump, by his side, supporting him in this endeavor.
