REPORT: Matt Gaetz Finds a New Home on One America News

The burning question has finally been answered.

Where will Matt Gaetz wind up now that he has resigned his seat and dropped out of the running for Attorney General?

The answer is as an anchor on One America News.

I thought that Gaetz might wind up on Fox News, but there is the issue that not a lot of people really like Gaetz, so hiring him as a steady contributor or co-host could create some problems.

There is no way Gaetz would work for a network like CNN or MSNBC, so that did not leave many players.

But, now reports are surfacing that Gaetz will be a new addition to One America News (OAN).

Gaetz gave no indicator that this was even in the works when he announced he was dropping out of the Attorney General consideration.

At the time, he stated, “I’m still going to be in the fight, but it’s going to be from a new perch. I do not intend to join the 119th Congress.”

As far as I am concerned, OAN is just a waste of space, as it does not even have complete circulation any longer, having been removed from the DirecTV lineup.

Numerous personalities on the network are known conspiracy theorists, regularly floating narratives that have been debunked or that the Trump camp wants to be pushed on air.

In essence, it is a Trump echo chamber, not a serious news organization (not that any news organizations are serious these days).

With all that Gaetz has hanging over his head, however, this seems just about right.

It will keep a paycheck coming in, and Gaetz will not be scrutinized were he to work for a network like Fox News.

I still think Trump will try to find a home for him in his administration, but it will have to be something obscure because the moment Gaetz goes back into public service, that House Ethics report is likely to surface again.
