REPORT: Johnson Forced to Share Power with Dems Amid GOP Removal Efforts

The House is a complete and utter mess right now, and there is plenty of blame to go around for that.

Rep. Greene (R-GA) is taking most of the heat for this, but this is really a failure of the entire party.

Due to this dysfunction, Speaker Johnson (R-LA) will more or less have to share power, allowing Minority Leader Jeffries (D-N.Y.) to assume the role of shadow Speaker.

Pure Chaos

First and foremost, I have to make it clear that I do not support Johnson's actions since taking over as Speaker.

This has been business as usual, and he has more or less caved to every Democrat demand.

Having said that, the man really does not have much leverage due to moderate Republicans in the House and a razor-thin majority.

He is literally operating with one spare vote right now and in a caucus that is so divided, it more or less makes him a powerless Speaker.

Greene, however, is not helping the situation.

Her insistence on moving forward with her motion to vacate is going to all but ensure that the GOP loses the House in November, which will be a complete and utter disaster regardless of who wins the White House.

If Trump wins, you better believe that Dems will try to impeach him again.

If Biden wins, the Democrats will have unfettered control of the entire government, assuming they hold the Senate as well.

Johnson has been trying to pacify Greene and reports recently stated that Trump had talked to all parties trying to broker a peace deal, but so far, nothing has come of it.

Rep. Jeffries is eating all this up, taking shots at the GOP at every turn.

For instance, during an interview this week, he stated, “Even though we’re in the minority, we effectively have been governing as if we were in the majority because we continue to provide a majority of the votes necessary to get things done.

“Those are just the facts.”

Dems are rallying on this, constantly dropping hits on social media about how they are being the adults in the room, to the point they have to put down another GOP effort to remove a second Speaker.

I have long stated that even though I do not like what I am seeing from Johnson, I would keep my head down just to get through the term, hope to have the majority again next term, and then find a new Speaker that can unite the party.

If this nonsense keeps up, and they keep feeding the Democrat hit machine, Greene and company are going to cost us the House, so just remember that once the election results start coming in on Election Day in November.
