REPORT: Israel Strike Hits Near Iran Nuclear Sites
Last weekend, Israel was hit with a direct attack by Iran.
The attack, for the most part, failed due to the Iron Dome and aircraft intercepting missiles.
Even so, Israel vowed to conduct a counterattack, which has finally been carried out.
Close Calls
Early Friday, reports started to surface that Israel had launched a missile attack against Iran.
Local reports stated that explosions could be heard near the airport near the center of the country in Isfahan province.
One outlet reported, “The cause of these sounds is still unknown, and investigations continue until the exact details of the incident are determined.”
Concerns were then raised due to the fact that Iran’s nuclear enrichment program is located in that area.
Israel may have killed two birds with one stone here, as it has long wanted to conduct a strike to take out Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have decided that now was the best time to strike before Iran’s defense capabilities were improved by the Russian S-400 air defense system.
How this will all play out now remains to be seen.
Russia seems hesitant to get directly involved in this conflict between Israel and Iran, but the United States helped Israel defend itself from the missile attack that took place last weekend.
Israel also has significant aid coming from the United States to bolster its weapons supplies.
Having said that, Biden reportedly warned Israel against conducting a counterstrike against Iran, reportedly telling the Israeli PM that he needed to take his win from knocking out the missiles and move on.
Netanyahu, however, seemed adamant about launching the attack as a deterrent to prevent further attacks from taking place.
I am sure this will all flesh out over the next few days, but probably not before Joe takes another weekend getaway in Delaware, as he has done pretty much every weekend since being in office.
