REPORT: Iraqi Immigrant Plotted Assassination of George W. Bush

We continue to hear horror stories from the border with every passing day.

The latest involves an alleged plot to assassinate former President George W. Bush.

The report stated that an Iraqi immigrant was planning to smuggle in assassins to kill him.

The Plot

Contrary to the narrative that Democrats are pitching, there are more than just a few nefarious actors coming across the border, taking advantage of Joe Biden’s loose border policies.

Enter Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab, 53, an Iraqi native who was living in Ohio.

Shihab was trying to sneak in assassins to kill the former president of the United States because he held Bush responsible for the deaths of Iraqis during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was seeking operatives “who do not care if they are killed during the mission.”

Shihab pleaded guilty to having attempted to provide support to terrorists.

In February, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role in the plot.

The details of his plot were also revealed once the court documents were released.

How Shihab was even allowed into this country is a mystery because he served as a gun runner for al Qaeda during the war.

His job was to bring weapons into Iraq from Syria as well as smuggling vehicles packed with explosives to set traps along the routes that the American troops were known to patrol.

His assassination plot was to case the home of President Bush while smuggling in assassins who would carry out the hit.

Shihab wanted to bring the assassins in via the Mexican-US border.

What he did not know was that the person that he was planning the attack with was an informant for the FBI.

While Shihab thought he was successfully importing an assassin, he was actually making arrangements that had been coordinated with the FBI.

Shihab had even cased President Bush’s home, taking video of the driveway and entrance, of which Bush was apparently informed and not worried.

His office stated, "President Bush has all the confidence in the world in the U.S. Secret Service and our law enforcement and intelligence communities.”

So, how did Shihab get into the country? He applied for asylum in March 2021, just after Biden took office, and he is among those who were released to the country’s interior by Secretary Mayorkas, who continues to claim every asylum seeker has been properly vetted.

I guess Mayorkas just happened to miss the part where Shihab was a gun runner for the most notorious terrorist operation we have ever known.
