REPORT: Harris Cuts Sister Out of Campaign

We have discussed many times how the 2020 campaign of Kamala Harris went up in flames before the first vote was even cast.

The person who has been tagged as taking the blame for that fiasco was Maya Harris, the little sister of Kamala.

That failure apparently led to Kamala keeping Maya at arm’s length for this presidential campaign.

Not This Time

If reports are accurate, Harris’ former campaign staff was livid at Maya trying to present Harris as the most progressive candidate in the field, even left of Bernie Sanders.

A Politico report at the time claimed that Maya had been “involved in virtually every facet of the race,” pointing the finger directly at her for having derailed the campaign of someone who was once among the frontrunners.

While Maya is no longer front and center, her husband, Tony West, is at the epicenter of the campaign.

West served in Barack Obama’s DOJ and is currently on leave from Uber as its Chief Legal Officer.

He took leave to help the Harris campaign, telling staff that he would be “supporting my family and my sister-in-law on the campaign trail.”

Bakari Sellers, a CNN commentator and former South Carolina legislator close to the Harris campaign, offered more insight on this, claiming, “The campaign leadership is a collaborative effort, but Tony West is probably the most guiding hand there.

“There's nothing that happens in the campaign that he's not part of.”

So, while her sister is no longer front and center, it would not be shocking to find out at some point that Maya is the one feeding West ideas for the campaign.

That would also explain why Harris is floundering in the final days leading up to the election, as she was in her 2020 primary run.

If Harris does win this race, watch out for where Maya winds up because she is about as progressive as it gets, wanting Kamala to lean further left than Bernie Sanders.

These two are as thick as thieves, so I don’t believe for one second Harris will be able to cut her out of her administration.
